The menu price should be the real price
Spanish consumer guidance requires prices to include taxes and additional costs. Differences for the bar, indoor table or terrace must be clear before the order, not discovered after the last plate.
Bread and cover charges need an introduction
Pan, cubierto and similar items may be charged only when their prices appear on the menu or a visible notice. A plate arriving automatically does not make an undisclosed price legitimate.

Market price still needs a number
A dish marked según mercado or offered off-menu must have a known price, or a clear price-by-weight calculation, before it is ordered. Ask first rather than letting the final bill reveal the market.
Tap water is not a hidden bottle sale
Restaurants must offer the possibility of free unbottled water even when bottled water is also sold. Ask clearly for agua del grifo when that is what you want.
