Bank Indonesia issued its current 2022 banknote family in seven denominations: Rp1,000, Rp2,000, Rp5,000, Rp10,000, Rp20,000, Rp50,000 and Rp100,000. The notes retain national heroes on the front and Indonesian cultural, landscape and flora themes on the reverse.

Coins are change, not a planning tool
Bank Indonesia's current image library lists Rp100, Rp200, Rp500 and Rp1,000 coins. They are real legal money, but travelers will usually meet them as change rather than as a payment strategy. Keep a few for small totals, then spend them before the departure airport.
Feel, look and tilt
Color is a recognition cue, not proof of authenticity. Bank Indonesia advises the public to learn genuine-rupiah security features; check a suspicious note with an official source or a bank rather than relying on color alone.
