Who is responsible

Information processed when you visit

• Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, approximate region, referring page, and request timestamps.
• Advertising information such as ad impressions, interactions, consent choices, and identifiers used by Google and approved advertising partners.
• Your selected currency pair and preferred home currency may be saved in local browser storage so the site can restore those choices. Amounts entered into the calculator are processed in your browser and are not intentionally stored by Cash by Country.
• Information you voluntarily send when contacting us, such as your email address and the contents of your message.

How information is used

Information may be used to operate and secure the site, provide currency comparisons, prevent abuse, understand site performance, respond to messages, comply with legal obligations, and fund the service through advertising. The legal basis may be consent, legitimate interests, performance of a requested service, or a legal obligation, depending on your location and the activity involved.

Google advertising

Cash by Country includes Google AdSense code and may display advertising when the service is enabled. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and to personalize them where permitted by your consent and applicable law.

Exchange-rate provider

The calculator requests reference-rate information from the Frankfurter currency API. Your browser may send ordinary technical request data, including your IP address, to that provider when retrieving a rate. Cash by Country does not control the provider's independent processing practices.

Sharing and international transfers

Information may be processed by hosting, security, consent-management, advertising, and currency-data providers. Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards should be used. Cash by Country does not sell information that directly identifies you.

Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention periods used by independent providers are governed by their own policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy of information. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise a right relating to information controlled by Cash by Country.

You can clear saved currency choices through your browser's site-data controls. When advertising consent is required, a Google-certified consent message will let you accept, reject, or manage advertising choices.

Children

Cash by Country is a general-audience travel tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of the page will show when material revisions were published.
