The euro banknote theme is imagined European architecture rather than real monuments: windows and gateways move from classical to modern styles, while bridges on the reverse suggest connection. Cash by Country artwork is an original, simplified interpretation and is not legal tender.

Why the two smallest coins hide

The 1 and 2 cent coins remain legal tender in Finland. In everyday circulation they are rare because cash totals are normally rounded to the nearest five cents. A retailer may also decline those coins if that policy is clearly announced.

The note layer is shared

A Finnish EUR 20 note is the same euro banknote you can spend in France, Estonia or Italy. For daily travel, EUR 5, 10 and 20 are the useful sizes; large notes can be inconvenient in small cafes and kiosks.
